I mean for guys, there is just one holy grail of the whole body beautiful obsession and this is really all about the six pack. Yup, those washboard abs that girls would swoon over, those lump of muscle that give definition to the stomach area, and these are the things that guys like me would kill for. You see, some of us are gifted with it, and these guys have the genetics and the metabolic rate so that they do not have to worry about how to get a six pack.

In fact, sometimes, no matter how much they eat and scuff down their food, they look exactly the same on the very next day and for me, this was something I was not gifted with. In fact, it can be said that I belonged to the pear section if life and genesis and the work of divine powers could be said to be a fruit basket, because that is exactly how I was shaped – like a pair. I had small shoulders and I had a big soft waist, and this is how I looked like most of my life.

In fact, my parents looked nothing like me, so I really didn’t know how I became from the apple of their eye, to the pear that I looked like. And of course I tried to get a six pack, and boy did I ever. The first phase was the dieting phase, where I simply just did not eat and that worked for about 3 – 4 days before I collapsed out of hunger and went on an eating binge for the next few days. One of the things that I realised is that whenever I tried this, I got softer and bigger, and I felt worse about myself simply because of the fact that I was more and more disappointed – and couldn’t find the answer on how to get a six pack.

Then someone pointed out to me that it was about time I tried more manly methods like weight lifting and sit ups. But of course since I had no one to train with, I had to do this alone, which meant  that there was a lot of grunting and screaming, looking through muscle magazines and trying to find motivation in them. In the end of the week, when nothing happened and I looked the same and had a sore midsection to boot, I went back to eating.

So as you can see, this was a general pattern which always seemed to take place with me and it only stopped when I stopped asking how to get a six pack to myself and I finally plucked up the courage to ask for some real help. I signed on with a gym, got me a trainer and got some real good books recommended to me on how I should plan my workouts and diet. It was just what I needed – professional help, good clean advice that stopped me asking how to get a six pack to me slowly realising that reality.
